8 major problems that will occur in floor paint construction

Floor paint has the characteristics of bright, real, beautiful, wear-resistant, waterproof, anti-corrosion, etc., so now many grounds in public places are painted with floor paint, but various problems will occur when the paint is not handled properly in construction.

I believe that for some people who are not very professional, there will always be some problems when constructing floor paint, but I am afraid that I will not handle it well if I do not handle it, and I am afraid that it will affect the aesthetics. This is a dilemma.

What problems will occur in the floor paint construction, and what should I do?
First of all, pierce the bubble with a pointed object. If water comes out, it means that there is moisture infiltrating under or behind the paint layer. When the sun dries, the water evaporates into vapor, and it will lift the patent leather into a bubble.
At this time, first use a hot-air spray gun to remove the blistering oil paint, let the wood dry naturally, then apply the primer, and finally repaint on the entire repair surface. If there is no water in the bubble, the wood grain may be cracked, and there is a small amount of air in it. When the sun is exposed, the air expands and the patent leather swells. Face this situation, first scrape off the blistering patent leather, then fill the cracks with resin filler, repaint, or without filler, apply microporous paint directly after scraping off the patent leather.

1. The paint has not dried for a long time
The paint does not dry, it must be related to the indoor ventilation or temperature. Poor ventilation or low temperature will make the paint dry slowly. So all you have to do is open some doors and windows to promote ventilation, or you can put a heater indoors to increase the indoor temperature.
If this does not solve the problem, the painted surface may be too oily. At this time, you can remove the paint with the chemical paint remover or heating method mentioned above, wipe the surface thoroughly, and then repaint.

2. Little insects accidentally stuck on the painted surface
I often encounter this situation. It is easy to stick small animals such as mosquitoes and mosquitoes just after being painted. At this time, they must be removed as soon as possible because the paint has not dried, it is easier to repair. Dip a little bit of paint into it and recover. If the paint is almost dry, wait until the paint film has completely hardened before wiping off the bugs, so as not to mess up the smooth surface.

3. Cracks on the paint surface
This situation is also relatively common and easy to handle. If the area of the floor coating cracks is relatively large, most of us use chemical paint removers or hot air spray guns to remove the cracked areas and then repaint.
If the cracking area is not very large, then use a sanding block or wet and dry sandpaper to dip a bit of water, remove the broken paint, and slowly smooth it.

4. Painted but not shiny
If there is no primer or primer and the internal paint is not dried, the direct application of glossy paint will lead to no gloss. Secondly, the quality of lacquer is not good.
The solution is to dry the old paint with wet and dry sandpaper, brush away the sanding dust, wipe the surface with a clean wet cloth, and dry it before repainting.
It is also important to pay attention that when the paint is painted in a very low temperature environment, the paint film may lose its gloss after drying.

5. The paint is rough
The newly painted surface is rough, which is usually caused by the paint used is not cleaned by epoxy resin or polluted by the surrounding environment. It is also possible that the paint is mixed with paint leather, which has not been precipitated and filtered before use, or the paint is stained with dust. To prevent the above problems, a clean paint brush and paint bucket must be used. Before using the old paint, be sure to filter it with filter paper or clean nylon stockings. In addition, the painted surface should be covered with a cover or cardboard before the paint is dry to prevent dust from getting on. If the paint surface is rough, after it is completely dry, sand it with wet and dry sandpaper, wipe it clean, and then repaint it. Pay particular attention to that the paint brush must be clean.

6. Peeling of paint
It may be because the surface of the object is too smooth. If the original paint is glossy or powdery, the new paint will not stick to the surface. Or it may be that the wood is decaying or the metal has rust spots, or it is peeled off due to poor paint quality. Small areas of paint are peeling off, you can sand it with fine sandpaper first, then put on putty, brush with primer, and then repaint. Large areas must be scraped off and repainted.

Well, here are eight common problems encountered in floor painting construction and their solutions have been analyzed. It is definitely a good learning opportunity for those who have just come into contact with floor painting construction. Helpful.
